Event
Enjoy an extended accompanied test drive in one of the current Lotus models. The following drive time slots are possible, we ask you to be there 30 mins before to allow time to sign test drive paperwork:
09:15 – 10:00
10:15 – 11:00
11:15 – 12:00
12:15 – 13:00
13:45 – 14:30
14:45 – 15:30

Light refreshments are kindly provided by Lotus Hatfield, part of the H. R. Owen Group. Please email the team with details of any dietary requirements you may have – sccteam@sccprivatemembers.com
Guests
Please note that your guest may not fit in all vehicles available. Drives are reserved for members first but guests of members may be able to drive if there is space – please request this from sccteam@sccprivatemembers.com
Vehicles
Vehicles you will be driving are the Eletre, Emeya and Emira. This will be accompanied by either a Lotus Pro-driver or HROwen representative. Cars are subject to availability and will be assigned on the day. We will do our best to meet your preferences!
Driving Experience…
You will have approximately 45 mins driving time per time slot, please ensure not to clash time slots if you’d like to drive multiple cars.
To drive you will NEED:
- Photocard Driving Licence (physical on the day for photocopy by the dealership)
- To sign the relevant vehicle test drive paperwork and agree to the terms set out by Lotus Hatfield
- Every Driver will need to complete a DVLA Licence Check and return it before the event takes place. This is to prove they are eligible to drive and to be noted on the insurance.
- A GDPR form will need to be completed on arrival.
Driving Licence Restrictions
If the following does NOT apply to you at the time of the drive, please contact sccteam@sccprivatemembers.com and inform them of the circumstances before booking.
Any driver taking part in a H.R. Owen drive day must meet the below criteria:
❖ Driver age – 25 years and over
❖ Full UK Licence held for 5 years of more
❖ No more than 6 points on driving licences
❖ No drink related driving convictions
❖ No convictions that have given rise to a ban
❖ No more than one accident in the last 3 years
Should any driver fail to meet the above criteria, the driver would require referral to their insurers for acceptance, together with full driving history for review. Please contact sccteam@sccprivatemembers.com before booking.
Drivers will also be asked to present their licence on the day of the event, sign our group indemnity form (details will be on joining instructions).
All drivers must create and submit a DVLA licence summary in ADVANCE OF THE EVENT (see instructions below):
Please email it to sccteam@sccprivatemembers.com, when it will be passed to HROwen for verification.
To view your licence online:
❖ Go to: www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
❖ Enter your Driving Licence number, National Insurance number and the postcode shown on your licence
❖ You will now be able to view your driving licence summary.
To share your driving licence summary with H.R. Owen:
❖ Select the “Share your licence information” tab
❖ Click on the ‘Create a code’ button
❖ You will now be shown a check code which is case sensitive
❖ Click on the ‘View, print of save your licence information’ button to download the PDF version
❖ Email the PDF to sccteam@sccprivatemembers.com, when it will be passed to HROwen for verification, this must be done in advance of the event or you may not be able to drive on the day.
The summary is valid for 21 days and can only be used once. Please do not generate your PDF any sooner than 14th June 2025 (21 days before the event), as it will not be valid on the day you are driving with us.
DISCLAIMER EXAMPLE (you will be asked to sign this on the day):
1. I accept that I am solely responsible for any decision to drive or to be a passenger in any such vehicle at any time
throughout the duration of the Event/Use and that I do so freely at my own will and solely at my own unreserved
risk.
2. Subject to paragraph 7 below, I assume all risks of injury to myself, my death and loss of or damage to my property,
that may be sustained by me driving or being a passenger in any vehicle during the Event/Use.
3. Subject to paragraph 7 below, H.R. Owen together with its associated companies, representatives, employees,
officers, servants, suppliers, contractors and agents including any person involved at the Event/Use including any
driving instructors (together the “Released Parties”) assume no liability for any injury to myself or to any third
party, my death or that of any third party, or for loss of or damage to my property or the property of any third
party, that may be suffered or sustained by me or any third party as a result of my driving or being a passenger in
any vehicle during the Event/Use, and I hereby waive any claims that I may have against the Released Parties in
respect of any such injury, death, loss or damage.
4. Subject to paragraph 7 below, I hereby irrevocably release and hold harmless and indemnify the Released Parties
from and against all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, costs and expenses brought, incurred or suffered in
respect of any injury to myself, my death, or any loss of or damage to my property, howsoever caused arising out
of or in connection with my driving or being a passenger in any vehicle during the Event/Use.
5. Subject to paragraph 7 below, and without prejudice to the above terms, I accept that if I refuse to wear any safety
equipment that is offered to me for use during the Event/Use, that I do so entirely at my own risk, and the Released
Parties shall have no liability for any injury suffered or sustained by me, or for my death, resulting from such
refusal, and I hereby waive any claims that I may have against the Released Parties in respect of any such injury or
death.
6. The terms of this Declaration & Indemnity shall be binding upon me, my heirs, next of kin, beneficiaries, executors,
administrators and other personal representatives.
7. The terms of this Declaration & Indemnity shall not operate so as to exclude the liability of the Released Parties
for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Released
Parties.
I confirm that I comply with the following requirements for participating in the Event/Use (Eligibility
Requirements):
a) I am aged twenty five (25) years or over.
b) I hold a full driving licence which is valid for driving a motor vehicle in the driving activities in which I am
participating at the Event/Use in the country in which the Event/Use is taking place, which I have held for a
minimum of 5 years and which I have provided to H.R.Owen, and I have no prior or pending driving licence
disqualifications.
c) I have never been refused car insurance or had special conditions imposed.
d) I am in good health and am not suffering from any medical condition or disability which could adversely affect
or limit my ability to control a vehicle during the Event/Use including but not limited to epilepsy, heart
conditions, uncorrected hearing or vision impairment.
e) I can speak and read English and understand English speech to a level that enables me to participate safely in
the Event/Use or, if not, I have brought a translator with me to the Event/Use.
f) I am not under the influence of alcohol or drugs and will not participate in the Event/Use under such influence.
g) If I am a passenger in any vehicle during the Event/Use, I confirm that I am aged sixteen (16) years or over.
The terms of this Declaration & Indemnity shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England
and Wales and I irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England
